Ascolta Farm in the Community
What started as a small farm has grown into a mission — to listen, grow, and give back. Whether it’s through partnerships with local organizations or providing fresh produce for community programs, Ascolta Farm is proud to be part of the movement toward a healthier, more connected Northwest Louisiana. Honored to work alongside organizations that share our commitment to local food access and sustainable farming — including the Louisiana Small Scale Agriculture Coalition and the Shreveport Green Mobile Market.

Louisiana Small Scale Agriculture Coalition
Advancing the needs of Louisiana’s
small scale and specialty crop growers.

We help farmers in Louisiana
who are growing on less than 100 acres.
Our member organizations support sustainable agriculture, Socially Disadvantaged farmers, market development, & more.
The Shreveport Mobile Market was a result of the Blue Cross Blue Shield of Louisiana Foundation grant.
Inaccessibility to healthy foods is a big problem in Shreveport. Inaccessibility refers not only to physical accessibility, but also expense of fresh foods and lack of knowledge in preparation. The Mobile Market will help break down these barriers by taking fresh fruits and vegetables to the consumers in the food deserts, offering them at a manageable price, and showing them healthy ways to prepare them. The Mobile Market has a schedule at several local Shreveport Recreation Centers and the reception has been huge! Plans are in the works to expand the outreach to other areas.
Only local fresh produce is offered.
